How to Keep Your Breath Fresh When at Work

When you are working nonstop for hours, you could end up having a foul breath. Aside from the usual dental hygiene steps such as brushing and flossing, here are the things by Dentist in Downtown Vancouver that you can do to make sure that doesn’t happen when you are at work:

1. Work out your mouth muscles.

When you work without speaking, that gives bacteria plenty of time to grow in your mouth. Take some time to talk to an office mate or even hum a tune or just to work out your mouth or facial muscles. That will help in triggering a saliva production, which can help in preventing bacteria growth.

2. Drink lots of water.

Interrupt the whole process of bacteria growth with water. It will wash away the bacteria and also hydrate your mouth, which will make it less of a good breeding ground for these micro organisms.

3. Try using an anti bacteria mouthwash.

Cap off your dental hygiene routine with an anti bacteria mouthwash. Choose those that do not contain alcohol as it can be harsh to the inside of the mouth.
4. Snack with fruits.

Fresh fruits can help hydrate the mouth and trigger a saliva production as well, especially the sour ones. Consider this a snack option. Bring fruit that you can cut up in your office kitchen.

Also make sure you avoid eating foods that are smelly such as foods with onion or garlic, while at work. The smell from these foods can linger in the mouth.
